Nurse’s Clinic at Barron Health Center

The SONA Human Rights Committee has been operating a nurse’s clinic one afternoon a week since 1994. With the opening of the Barron Center for Men in October 2015 the number of residents has grown.

We are actively looking for new volunteers to assist in operating the new clinic. Volunteer nurses assist homeless adults.  Care involves assessment, vital signs, blood pressure and glucose monitoring, referrals and supportive communication with residents.

For those of you who are working on the Central Ladder, this is an excellent opportunity to provide community service.
If you would consider joining this project please call SONA at 523-426-6582 or email info@sonanet.org to set up a time to come to the clinic during a Tuesday afternoon from 4-6pm.
